Grand Ledge Church of the Nazarene is a part of the Church of the Nazarene, the largest Protestant Christian denomination in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Organized in 1908, the Church of the Nazarene is now home to more than 2 million members worshiping in over 26,000 local congregations in 159 world areas. The distinguishing belief of Nazarenes is that of entire sanctification, the belief that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind.

We love our denomination, but we also recognize that Christianity is bigger than any one denomination.  We don’t pretend to have all the answers, but we do consider it a privilege to be a contributing voice among many Christian traditions who are seeking to know and understand God.  Our church consists of people who have been a part of Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran and Anabaptist traditions, as well as other branches of Methodism.  Rather than focusing on our differences, we choose to focus on what we can learn by listening to other theological traditions.
